not in florida, when i got my lethehey asked to see some immigration paper... back then i had my valid work permit so they gae it to me with that. my ss card says valid for work with DHS authorization, so i dunno if that's they reason they asked for a paer or document from immigration.

I live in Georgia, I believe it's one of the harshest states when it comes to immigration, and i was thinking about buying a moped (49cc). I have a friend that used to have one but he never got pulled over. I think if you follow the laws there is no reason you would get pulled over, you can't go that fast on a moped anyways.

The law here says:
1. Must be 15 years of age and have in their possession a valid driver's license, instructional permit or limited permit. (what's a limited permit??)
2. Must wear protective headgear.
3. No tag is required.

What would happen to me if for some reason I got pulled over? I was thinking about using it only for going to college, which is about 25 minutes away from my house. I would carry my student ID, a passport, and some kind of proof of where I live. I could get insurance under my parents' name. What do you guys think?
hey there~ yeh i live in GA as well...and it IS one of the states with strong anti-immigration laws... My advice to you is only drive when you need to..like going to school. I know there are a lota checkpoints these days and my friend thats in our situation got pulled over at those checkpoints and was deported...sad story i knoe..so try best yu can to avoid driving! I know..the first place i would go after anything passes will be DMV..so have hope!

My undocumented brother got pulled over by LAPD on his way back to work from his break. He was exiting out of the projects with tinted windows and the patrol car turned around and followed him for a few blocks. The cop pulled him over asked for license registration and proof of insurance. My bro presented everything but he gave him a Mexican drivers license (I'm not going to say if it was fake or not.. But the cops don't really check it.) and his Matricula Consular I.D.

The cop just told him that he cant be driving around with tinted front windows and he just let him go.

nope...you still need proof of identity..which comes from a passport US, gcard, or some document from the INS with foreign passport. There are many people with SSN in states that dont have the proof of identity. Usually states in the east coast require six points..where as its easy with an SSN to get most of it..you still need identity, and a foreign passport or birth certificate does not cut it.
