replied to it, as a girl you likely wont see combat and specially after the military invest hundreds of thousands of dollars on your education I highly doubt that they would put a higly educated individual which they have invested so much money on to just go out on the battlefield. My guess is they would have you be in their service in another setting for these years, remember you would be getting paid during these years as well. So ya I have more but I PM'ed the rest to you.

I'm currently in the process of applying. Submitted everything and just waiting to hear form schools. Some have already provided me with secondary apps.

You will see if the school is particularly picky or not by the secondary app. It will either ask you for the obvious citizenship questions, and if you don't have it: you will stop that application, or it will tell you to provide documents that you may have from INS at the time of an interview.

For the most part, the private schools will be our best bet.

For those wanting to go through engineering...at my school you have to take an assload of leveling courses. They have an easier program through the physics department where you do 5 years and get a physics degree w/premed. Chemical engineering is a good bet. Material science and engineering is rather "easy" as far as engineering goes (along w/civil and industrial) and you have to take a few more chem courses that would perhaps transfer over. Biomaterial science and Engineering is a good bet as well. Both degrees pay very well regardless if you want to go to Med. School or not.

Or it could be just 1 yr's worth tuition rate, but it all depends on the school. Also, take a look at a Medical School Admission Requirements (MSAR) handbook. There you will find which schools accepted international students that applied to state schools along with other useful info such as tuition, requirments, scholarships (if any applicable) etc.
Hi ronaldo I have a family friend of mine studying in states i totally do agree with your comment but i think cost is more then 150 to $200. And i believe study goes more then 4 years...

I am a undergrad mechanical engineering student. at this moment I am really interested in a grad degree in biomedical engineering or possibly med school.
getting in is tough. I am trying to improve my chances by doing some kind of research program for a summer or something like that. the problem of course is my lack of papers. does anyone here have done undergrad research? what programs out there take ab540 students?

so to get into med school, do you have to take the MCATs AND take courses in bio, chemistry, and physics?
because i thought that the MCATs and your GPA were all that they considered.

i'm a college freshman, so there hasn't been much discussion about majors or career paths yet.
but i'm 80% sure i want to be a psychiatrist.
