go ahead
I been though this and I know what I am talking about
unless there are ICE people here undercover pretending to be people like us to trick people using those things.
No YOU CANT get away with simple ID at amtrak or bus
they tell you to leave the bus or train and check your id and if its says in the system you have expired visa ,they put handcuffs on u right there and you going to jail until imigration will pick you up.
You knew people that were stopped in buses and amtrak stations, but not airports?

I think that it would be riskier and less likely to find someone to travel through 3000 miles of road over probably 3-4 days when there is a reason that cops would stop such cars. There are people that travel that distance with the sole purpose of carrying contraband between states, they are not going to pick someone with a bad driving record for that, so the only way for them to stop someone like that is to do random checks, so I would expect that roadblocks would be a likely scenario.
Its not like ICE has not been involved in roadblocks in the past. I recall them doing operations like that in the route that my bus took about 2-3 times per month around a popular beach in Miami.

For a domestic flight the only check one goes through in the airport is to show someone your passport as they pass a UV light over it, check the ticket, and you go through the metal detector. They have a line that is for domestic flights and one that is for international flights, that is why for international flights they tell you to go at least 3 hours before the flight but for domestic flights they recomend only 90 minutes before a flight.

I talk about this from experience, I have taken round trip flights between MIA in Miami and O'hare in chicago for the past 2 years during winter and summer breaks.

I was locked up in small town ..there were no airports but im sure people get picked up there more then they get on buses and trains. In prison there were people who were even picked up from their own houses and jobs!
So dont think you so lucky to fly because they dont just send you back home like I thought..They sent you to prison and court and then imigration camps . Some people sit in jail and camps for months. Now tell me
would you rather drive 3 days or fly 3 hours and end up in prison for 3 months?

umm, the thing is that the likelyhood of getting caught on the road is higher then on a domestic flight, because on the road you have to abide by the rules of all the states you cross, and roadblocks are something I have seen and been lucky to get out of, something that I know there are figures out there of catching people to deport.
like I said, I am only giving a personal account of what I saw, and I did not see anything that I should be worried about the several times that I have flown. I have not even seen them pull someone aside from the line to ask them more questions. I have seen them ask about the contents of the bags when they see something suspicious inside, but all they will do is open and check what you have.

I think driving is safer than anything... that is if the person driving is a USC. I have gone on numerous road trips and traveled with only USC's. We have never been stopped for random checks. We've only been stopped once in Mississippi because the driver was speeding. :P

Anyway, I have driven:
Chicago to Virginia
Chicago to South Carolina
Chicago to Florida, multiple times
Chicago to Wyoming
Chicago to Colorado

Screwed up stuff.....

I think this mostly applies to east coast though...I'm in California and I ride the amtrak from San Diego to LA and even to Santa Barbara and I have never encountered BP or anything. I've done this at least once a month for the past 2 years.

This is soo messed up and unfair!!!!!!!!!! What the hell..... But I believe this is only happens at the border cities or towns.
I cant believe they're saying that they're catching criminal aliens, the majority of them are not criminals!!! They don't even know what theyre talking about.
I feel really bad for the people that have been through this.
