I am a freshman this year. I never fill out FAFSA because my brother side they would reject my application since I am an undocumented student. So there is no point to do it.
He also warned me about the DHS... he said FAFSA will verify the application with the DHS and if they find out undocumented they might arrest us. But most of the time, they would just reject it and tell you "you have an incomplete application".

1. Am I too late for FAFSA now?

2. Will I get deport if I submit a FAFSA?
3. Will I get deport if I submit my Military Selective Service form?

Please help me and don't trick me... I am waiting for DREAM ACT TO PASS, so I can be a free man again....

thanks

1. you will not be eligible for FAFSA, you need to be a US citizen or permanent resident. they will require you to submit your documents
2. not sure if you will get deported, but again you are not eligible
3. i believe you are encouraged to register for the selective service which will contribute to your "good moral character" for the dream act

in addition to being called a noob. before you can apply for fafsa, you will need to apply for a PIN which requires you to have a valid SSN. once you get a PIN, you can fill one up. you will then get your SAR and EFC score which determines what you will be eligible for. at the same time, the school may ask you to submit the required documents and also yours/parents W-2s.

Thank you for both of your help. I ignored the FAFSA they sent me some months ago from my school. I believed the package came with a PIN? I am not sure. I believed I threw the mail away. So how do I apply for a PIN and am I still eligible to submit one now?

I just need it for a private scholarship (something from the City Council).

you can apply for fafsa at any time. all the required information can be found at the fafsa website, including on how to get a PIN. once again you need a valid SSN to get a PIN and apply for a FAFSA.

is it possible for you to just tell them that you weren't qualified for financial aid when you applied? or do they need confirmation?

well, good luck!

Hey man I'm a CUNY student and I receive the vallone "scholarship(it's only 250 a semester but whatever)" The way cuny does it is that you're forced to do a paper fafsa and give it in to the financial aid office of your college, no need to mail it to the feds, get a pin or anything. make sure to tell them it's for the vallone scholarship and they'll mark it appropriately. you're not late at all in fact the vallone money just came through about a month ago, and it doesn't run out. you just might not get it right away, but it'll add up for your second semester.

hope that helps.
