Taking the federal plus is a huge risk. I think an immigration lawyer would be most suited to answer your question though.

uggh... yeah, you were right, mine was denied for the SSN, I called and the person simply told me I needed an SSN, even when I told her that I had a cosigner and that the form told me to put an ITIN when I left it blank, she just said... I need an SSN... so annoying.

guess that means we are back to square one with this student loan thing.

anyone else with any other ideas of other places that might give us a student loan?

So the US Bank Loan is a no-go? even with an ITIN? This is so disappointing. I got too excited for it for no reason. Sigh.... :'(

There are currently no loans available to undocumented students. I honestly don't know if Sallie Mae will bring back the Tuition Answer loan, I've called them a couple of times, and I'm never given a straight answer.

Good News!

I applied for a CitiAssist loan awhile ago, and I got it!! I sent in a blank I-20 form and they disbursed the money to my school. Don't lose hope! Try CitiAssist--I was a nervous wreck and didn't know what was going to happen, but the loan came through; hopefully, you guys can get it too.

How long ago did you do this? I'm scared they give the money, and then when they realize the form is blank, they'll take it away

I applied over online-there is a section that says "student without ssn" which is what i clicked; the only thing is that students without ssn must have a credit-worthy u.s. citizen as a co-signer to apply for the loan.

If you have any extra questions, just PM me hope this helps.
