Washington state residents PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi, so next week I am moving from texas to seattle washington and i had a few questions for those of yall who live thereor those that have been there...first of all is there any route that i should consider, im gonna drive there and ive heard of ice having checkpoints, is there any route that i should avoid or anything like that..please help me i am traveling with my son and husband and would like to get there safely. Second is there any way that i could get an id or driver's license? all i have as id is my matricula consular and an austin community college id. do they allow you to get a driver's license without a social security number? thank you any help is greatly appreciated...

Don't know much about ICE checkpoints, however, there are quite a few threads on this site that have talked about how to get a DL from either NM or WA (IL is another state but it requires a social), I suggest you try the search option.
