the main page of this site hasn't been updated in a while, and in my opinion; we might have lost some votes

can someone please clarify how are we doing in the vote count?

For now, as it is highly unlikely that the DREAM Act will come to the Senator floor as a stand-alone before the immigration bill fails, I think we should count votes for the comprehensive immigration reform, not for the DREAM Act. We really do not know we lost some votes.

First, the one who will replace late Senator Kennedy's Senate seat has not been chosen or elected. He or she won't be able to replace Senator Kennedy's role in immigration. However, I think the person will be a very liberal senator as Massachusetts is a very liberal state. (There are some Republicans that said they would run for the seat, but I don't think any of them will actually get it.) Whether we lost a vote or not depends on when late Senator Kennedy's successor is appointed or elected. If the immigration bill is introduced and voted before the successor goes to the Senate, then it means we do not have one vote. But, I highly doubt that will happen as the introduction of the bill has been delayed.

The new Florida senator (typical Republican) seems to be much different from his predecessor on the immigration issue, but if he wants to be re-elected, he should appeal to the enormous Latino community in Florida. He says he supports the "enforcement and border security first" policy. But, we have no idea about how he will vote for the immigration bill or, especially, the DREAM Act.

First of all I think its very unlikely that we will get comprehensive immigration reform anytime soon since Obama is using all his political capital trying to pass this health care reform, so that said it would leave him and congress no choice but to settle for much smaller bills like DREAM and AgJob, especially during a election and census year.

Second George LeMieux is just a temporary replacement holding down the seat for his buddy Charlie Crist and he was Crist chief of staff, so he's going to do anything Crist tells him.

currently there are 98 co-sponsors in the house and 23 co-sponsors in the senate.

I go to http://thomas.loc.gov/ for this information, just type dream act in the search bar and it will bring up all the information, click on either one and you can see more information including the text of the bill for each one.
