No hate for Pac-Man, I'm Mexican and hate to see Mexicans lose, but Pac-Man is "mexican" enough to warrant my admiration for him. He has the humbleness non-cocky thing going for him. I like the fact that he seemed like the underdog because of his Asian background but is just proving all naysayers wrong. In a way he reminds me of Chavez in his better days....he seemed like the "weak" one in the ring because of the quiet attitude, but he showed a lot of heart and made his fists do the talking.

I just bring up those Mexican fighters because they seemed like strong opponents that were evenly matched to Pacquiao and as a result yielded some awesome fights. Some of them are "paisas" from my birth state of Sonora(not marquez)..so yeah there's a little bias.

Humility? Yeah, buying your own private island is humble. He's an exciting boxer, I give him that much. He'd get schooled by Mayweather any time of the day. The best boxer to come out of Mexico the last decade was Erik "El Terrible" Morales. Barrera is up there, but he wasn't the one that beat Pacquiao.

We all know Pac-Man won't have a chance against Ruben "El Puas" Olivares. He is from La Bondojito in Mexico City, the place were I was born.

Don't know who you refer to as not having humility for having an island? I'm guessing Pacquiao? Since when is using your money part of being humble or showing humility? If you are not flaunting it and being a jerk about it, I don't see what's wrong. And you seem to forget that he's received kidnapping threats towards his family and must have 30 bodyguards on his payroll. I hope you are not hinting Mayweather is actually humble? Mayweather is a good boxer, but I just don't see him as a power puncher. Pacquiao is this and has the speed and stamina to keep up. Pac-man would take Mayweather down before the 7th round

boxing and MMA is different. I train in MMA and BJJ but i used to train boxing and muay thai a lot. You really can't judge which one is better b/w MMA and boxing because they are quite different. I still think boxing is great for self-defense and great cardio workout. The stance in boxing is different b/c you only get to use your hands but in MMA, you have to think about punches, kicks, takedowns, and clinches.

but it was a good fight. I still think Pac-man would win if he fights mayweather in the near future

well, nothing stops opponents trying takedowns like fine knee strikes to the face!!! thats why bjj peeps are very careful when attempting takedowns against muay thai ppl cuz thats exactly what they're going to get *hard knee in the FACE!!!* *headshot*
