I'm having the same problem with ID. Unfortunately, these college I.D's don't have your birth date. Anyone know what a Selective Service Card looks like? I just got a call from my parents saying they received my registration confirmation in the mail and that there is a Card with my birth date on it.

I agree, we are all allowed to have a little fun now and then, some of us consider fun, in the form of going to a club/bar, dancing and getting tipsy lol

one thing i've learned about dealing with offices like the mexican consulate, department of motor vehicles, police department, etc. is never take one person or employees word as being written in stone.

If they don't want to help you call back the next day, and the next, and the next, until they tell you exactly what you need. Then figure out a plan on how to obtain it.

The only thing you can possibly use for like getting into bars/clubs would be to carry around your passport along with like a school id if you got one.
They are easily forged I once saw a guy from Honduras w/ a Matricula Consular.
When I asked him why did he have one, he told me that hopefully he will only get deported to Mexico instead of Honduras if the cops pick him up. I thought it was BS until I was in Reynosa Mexico (border town) and a Honduran guy asked me for money cause they had just deported him from the USA and wanted to eat.

My brother lost his, and the consul asked him for a police report and I don't remember what else, and they gave it to him again. you might want to go again and ask them, but tell them that you lost your wallet at a gas station. Los trabajadores del consulado son muy mamones, especialmente en mcallen. Try to go in the morning when they are in a good mood, and if you are going to school or college, tell them that. For some reason, they change their attitude when you mention that you are getting educated. If you get a mexican consulate again, try to get your passport as well, it helps. Good luck.'

The ID's that I have are: Matricular consular, Passport, College ID, and selective service card.

what if your passport is really old?
Like my passport has my old picture when I was 3.
I'm 17 now. How do I fix that?

It doesn't matter that the last one you had was when you were very young. "Google" it to find the website for "Consulado Mexicano". That will give you an idea of what documents you need. Then call the 1-800 number on the website for an appointment and they will give you more specifics. It is fairly easy to get a passport and matricula. Hope you are able to get it
