Life doesn't stop because your undocumented.. you still have work (or don't) you still need to drive, go to school and have a life.

I'm wondering if faking like you got a homeland drivers license to get your international is worth it? or getting those i-130 saying a relative is applying for you, faking things.... driving without a license, etc could be anything...

Do you fear it will come back to haunt you? say the dream act passes and they look you up and say um whats this you have here? I'm frustrated here.. I wanna have a clean sleight, but I need a license for work and getting around...I mean I understand...WAIT WAIT...but how long will I have to.. just because your paralyzed from the neck down you don't have to stop everything in life and hide in your room crying...even tho its hard, life goes on and... I guess I just want some reassurance here..for those who have done things like driving w out a license, or faking something...you know its wrong, but?

Of course it's not worth it. By faking something, you will be putting your entire future at risk. You will never be able to adjust your status or ever become a citizen.

It is hard to get around without a driver's license, but all of us figure out something.

Following the law doesn't mean that you have to sit in your room crying. There are many things you can do without breaking the law. Nobody should give up, but that doesn't mean we need to be dishonest and falsifying any documents. It takes a lot more integrity to succeed while abiding by the law than it does to use fake documents such as a fake license or fake I-130.
Do they really make fake I-130 forms of approval? Wow, I can't believe how far people go to bypass laws.

I really hope nobody gives you the reassurance that you want, at least not on here. Producing or using false documents can easily get you put in jail, deported, or both. Don't be stupid and irresponsible. You know what you need to do or not do to be eligible for the DREAM Act if it were to pass. Come on, do the right thing.

WOAH! calm down there.. I never said I was going to do those things.. Im saying in general things that my undocumented friends have done and also things I hear about here...

driving w out a license is basically the same thing as faking an ID... they are both wrong.... but unfortunatly people do what they have to.. some situations arent as easy as others..parents dont have money and cant take you to work...no buses in your city, etc Im asking those who drive wout a license because unfortunatly they cant do jack about it and need to live their lives...

I know everyone is saying wait wait wait.. but there are some people who have waited 5-15years....

I think the officials who will handle the DREAM Act applications -- SHOULD IT PASS -- will understand why some people have international DLs.
In states like CA, it's almost impossible to fully function without being able to drive.

Take me, for example.

I HAVE to go to college, but the nearest school isn't accessible by bus, so I need to drive myself there. I'll have to get an international DL whether I like it or not.

That's what I call figuring out something.

However, I think most of us will agree that getting an international DL is not so bad as faking other, more important immigration forms/documents.

Right, but even an international you have to fake you have a homeland one... and I agree with you.... sometimes things are out of our hands... if we cant function? than why are we here like people who cant walk or move and do big things.

Every action has a consequence. Personally, I would not risk breaking the law in any way. However, such a decision is quite easy for me to make because of my current state in life. The decision would be more difficult if I had to provide (financially) for an offspring or a family member. In such a case, I can almost assure you that I might end up using information that is not completely accurate to get a job. Once again, I would only do such a thing if I were the one in charge of providing food, housing, and the like, for my family. Otherwise, I would not even dream of breaking the law in any way.
