I certainly don't mean to be rude..but I suggest we kill this thread. By discussing this topic, we are only summoning Mr. Defeat who will further take over our brain and produce negative thoughts. Instead, lets be positive and summon Mr. Triumph who will produce nothing but positive thoughts. In short, CIR will pass which will include DA legalizing OUR WHOLE FAMILY, not only us.

I agree partially.

I do agree that we should be more optimistic. It is good for our health and also for our mindset. Also I do agree that I see a lot of these kinds of "What if things don't work." One month ago, there weren't that many of these kinds of threads from what I remember.

However I do know that not everyone can afford the time until DA passes. And also not giving up on something that has failed last eight years sorta gives a hint that it won't definitely look positive in a way and it is not something you can change. The decision is up to House and Senate. We can help indirectly but that's pretty much it. And seriously, if this DA fails, it will be a long time DA topic again will be discussed in the house and senate. Personally I think it is a good to have a back-up plan and sometimes discussing here on forum does help a lot because you also hear some advices, news that you weren't aware of. For example, I never imagined about backup plan to immigrating to Canada or Australia until some people started to discuss. So to me, the phrase "never give up" does not very sound persuasive to me. There are times you have to give up to get something else and there are times you should never give up to get something that you truly want.

I am not saying I am giving up. In fact, I will sustain as much as possible as well, but I won't go to the point where I won't even be able to afford to buy airticket and live homeless on the street. All depends on self decision.

Anyway it was just my opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course.

come on guys, we are not deleting this thread. If you personally don't like reading these kind of threads, than don't.

If the DREAM Act doesn't pass, I'm going to keep living here. I have no where else to go. Thank god I have a job that allows me to have an OK life even without papers.

I feel sorry for those who have to leave. I wish them the best of luck.

I'm going back to my home country. I'll become a tour guide, taking all the Westerners to the attractions my country has to offer. It'll be like a permanent vacation. Get involved in the tourism business, blow off what I learned for my major, and just live a care-free life.

I still thank America for all that it's given me... Free grade school, college, and health care really beats living anywhere else. I've even acquired a few skill sets at the expense of the American taxpayers. Too bad I'll never get to repay them. Suckers.

I'll worry about it after 2010. For now, I'm still holding on to all hopes I got.
