Hello, has anyone lately taken a flight from Charlotte-Douglas, North Carolina airport. I'm planning on travelling on a direct flight to Seattle with my current foreign passport with no visa and don't know how safe this airport is, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated...

If you have a valid drivers license you can pretty much fly safely anywhere within the US, I have one but it expired almost 2 years ago and that's the problem since I know that will cause a lot of red flags with the tsa crew. Technically a foreign passport is a valid and acceptable government issued id but in reality it can cause a lot a problems as well (even deportation) if you get an eagerly tsa member who starts fllipping through your passport's pages looking for visa. I've read of a few people coming up with excuses like explaining that their visa is their old passport or they left their green card at home since its a domestic flight and they're really not suppose to be asking u for this documents but it happens.

BTW has anyone tried leaving from Ashville Regional Airport or Columbia Metropolitan Airport, I've heard they might be safer since they're smaller and local and they don't deal with international flights at all....
