nothing works people. Lets face it!

Buses work- if your live in a busy city that has buses that can take you to work, school, etc.
Walking would work- if work or school or anywhere in general wasnt too far.
Scooters would work- if you live in those few states that allows a scooter of 49cc or lower go on the road without a license.
Carpooling would work- if you had friends who worked at the same time as you or wouldnt mind taking you.
Riding bikes would work- if work or whatever you needed to go wasnt too far off.
WA/NM license would work- if you had people or friends living there willing to give you their address to show proof of residence.
what else?

cause heck all those things. Im D. none of the above. none of those can work for me! And Im tired, tired of depending on people! I research like a mad man (Im a woman btw) in search of something.. anything to be able to drive and not have to die in order to go to wal mart for crying out loud....Anyone feeling my frustration here? We try to find loopholes and different things to bypast what we cant.. THE LAW....

grr

Of course, don't drive without license.

I mentioned in other thread about 49cc. If your bus station is within 5 miles, why not ride a bike to bus stop and then lock your bike nearby and then ride a bus?

omg. it takes 5miles to get to a bus stop.. than 1 hour to get to work on the bus. than 5miles from the bus stop to work.. see what Im saying?

That wont work.. AND Im not going to sweat that much and show up to work smelling horrid.. clothes I can change..smell not so much. And around here where I live like I said no buses.

well, I think most buses do have like 2 bike holders. So how about riding a bike 5 miles and then ride bus for 1 hour and then ride a bike to work the last 5 miles?

5 miles only take 15 minutes with bike.

Otherwise I would suggest moving your living place to near your work area.

I am sorry to say this but for us undocumented, we do not have luxury of choices. At least you have work that pays you. Many of us do not even have work even if we want to.

As long as you don't bike too fast, you won't be smelling bad. Enjoy the scene and have some fresh air while biking. I ride a bike 10 miles every single day to school and believe it or not, my legs got stronger and my cycling skill also got better. Sure I sweat after riding for like 30-35 minutes for 10 miles for just one way. But my speedometer also says I lose like 500-600 kcal a day for round trip. Good for health for sure and I don't have to wait for someone to pick me up (and people who pick us up DO NOT WANT to waste their time waiting for us anyway). I can leave for home whenever I want.

Anyway, I was just suggesting. If you don't like biking, nor taking buses, then there is less choices. Looks like what are left is 49cc scooter, electric bike, friends picking you up, or moving your living place.

Good luck and I hope everything works out well.

IF you believe that that is the right thing to do for you, then sure, BUT for me it doesn't work. It depends on who you are, and personal beliefs. For me I don't want to risk myself getting into trouble. This doesn't mean I agree with all of the laws out there, especially here in Texas there are a lot of ridiculous and outdated laws.

But there are people like us that have to drive because they have to work, so they have no choice but to do what they must to survive.

By no means I'm I trying to encourage you to drive without a legal license either, at all cost try to avoid breaking the law. Like the others mentioned, Bus and Bike are good options, may not be the most convenient but you just got to plan ahead and make it work.

Hope everything works out

Don't confuse desperation with being displeased with your current situation. We have all been there and we are trying to make the best of it. You have a job while a lot of people, including USCs , are looking for one right now. You want to live on your own, drive your own car, it's perfectly normal to finally want to live your own life. In our current situation however, depending on others is something most of us have to do. Just be grateful that there are still some people you can depend on to provide transportation. If you feel like you are being a burden then offer them a couple of bucks for giving you a ride...people usually have no problems doing someone a favor if they know they will be compensated for it every once in a while. I do that with my friends all the time.
