It makes me feel hopeful once more to know that people keep fighting for a reform. I just hope that this time my hopes aren't crush like they have been in the past.

I'm just curious to know, what is their next step from here? How long will it take for this to be official bill? If anyone has answer please reply to my question, thanks

Oh I also want to ask you guys if know If I will be included into dream act since I have completed my 4 years of college? Do I have to return back to college in order for me to be under dream act since the bill states that you have to either complete high school ( which I did) and have two years of college, or military. (Currently I am working in a store where I get paid off the book)

I know that it might sound a bit selfish, after all some of us are better positioned to face such harsher penalties and requirements but we have to be realistic. We all should be aware that we need to prove red neck America that legalization would bring economic benefits and not burdens and to try to mitigate the "amnesty" aspects so they can see it as a truly earned path to legalization.

The problem with that is... "Red Neck America" doesn't think for themselves. "Red Neck America" listens to assholes like glenn beck and lou dobbs and that other asshole on the radio... They don't know squat about anything that's really going on. They don't generally have a opinion until one of their shepherds leads them in a certain way. So basically, as long as those dickheads in the "conservative" media are trashing undocumented people, the "Red Neck Americans" are going to oppose any bill.

Think about it... All they needed was a little bs lie, blasted out of proportion and thrown into the face of the media for them to stop the whole health-care reform. Imagine what kinda shit they have ready for when our time comes...

This a GREAT provision of the DREAM act in the Gutierrez bill.

And for those of you who are saying its "too lax, its a joke, we should be fined more, etc.. etc.." What are you talking about?

Obviously there will be amendments, but the very republicans that are not in favor of it, chances are those amendments will be added to the bill making it more "stern" and many will STILL vote against it.

You come to the table with all your wants and wishes ready to negotiate, You dont try to appease your opponents before they get to the table, they will still oppose the bill either way.

Remember, President Obama and the Democrats tried to do that with the stimulus bill in January, before they even negotiated the put billions of $s worth of Tax cuts and investment credits in the bill.....and what did republicans do....they added more and at the end of the day 39 out of 40 them voted against it.

I was 18 when I firstly came in U.S. year 2001 right after 9.11. and graduated public highschool year 2003.

Damn, age cuttline 16..

I just wonder why not even 17.. it's the age couldn't even buy the beer & cigar, and not even allow to

take any job. I wonder what kind of an idiot made such stupid age limitation.

World freakin unfair. Damn, all! It's so discouraging!

Its too late in the season for this bill to go anywhere. Don't waste your time. We got nothing this year.
