YES! YES! YES!

I hope my understanding is right.

Does this mean that senate votes, passes, Obama signs, done? FINALLY. Or is there still some reconciliation left between Senate and House? Will that take long? Not too long, right? Not too long, right? A week?

Please guys call once and twice and twenty times. Ask senate to move on to immigration. We are just so desperate! I know I am and I cannot wait any longer.

Well, the bill can still be killed in committee and the Republicans can still filibuster the bill there but I don't think this will happen.

Apparently Nelson is still being a dick and cross-dressing as a Republican or something. He said that he might filibuster the bill coming out of conference if it's too woman-friendly. Me thinks he just wants attention a la Lieberman.

Question--

Since this bill isn't being voted YET, isn't the number 60 rather tentative and subject to change? Or is it just politically risky for a senator to promise a vote and then withdraw on voting day itself especially so close to an election year?
I didn't really pay attention in government class this semester. -__-

I hope I can watch the vote tomorrow morning. So many states got short changed by the Medicade deal. I hope in conference it's changed to help more states.

I don't think federal money should be used to fund abortions. The bo-tax should have stayed in the bill. I just want this to be over so thru can deal with JOBS then immigration in that order.

There is nothing that the Republicans can do to stop the passage of the bill.
They can't delay it further than until Christmas eve unless there is some kind of conflict among the Democrats, which is very unlikely until the conference committee. They know this, but they are still saying they will do whatever they can do to delay or stop the passage of the bill. They even opposed to vote for the war-funding bill that they so love. If the Democrats did this, the Republicans would charge them of treason and say that the Democrats do not support the troops. As always, they prove that they are just a bunch of hypocrites.

If I were a Republican Senator, I would cooperate with the Democrats and try to influence the health care bill. The Republicans' strategy just isolated themselves. By doing this, they got nothing out of this bill and a year-long debate on health care. Of course, they would get support from their beloved conservative constituents. But, they are not doing anything good for the country they always claim to love. They did nothing but took the holiday break of many workers in the Senate.
