Hi, again, to everyone...so a while back i posted about moving to washington...well i did and now i dont think it was such a good idea anymore so if anyone can help me by answering a few questions that I have...first of all I lived in texas and was paying in state tuition but some laws in tx changed making it harder to live there and since my boyfriend has family in washington they told him that here you can get a driver's license and id...well i have an id now because tx doesnt give id's or drivers license but now I cant go to school because its way too expensive. I know that washington is one of the states that gives in state tuition but im not sure about the rules for that. Will i ever be able to qualify for that? maybe after im here for 3 years or would i have to had graduated from a high school here? also if i decide to go back to texas instead, since things here arent going as well as planned, could I still get in state tution (it is my understanding that i couldnt anymore because i became a resident of another state) does anyone know, or would I have to wait another 3 years there to get in state again?

I live in WA and I'm not really sure how it would work for someone who is coming from another state. However, my cousin who lives in NY did come here and studied in a community college and because he had had a WA license for a year they allowed him to pay instate tuition, even though he didn't attend high school here. Once you get accepted to a college you have to fill this document out and turn it in to the school

Good luck! Hopefully someone can give you better insight. I'll try to ask my cousin how things worked out for him while he was here, he only attended school for a year and then moved back to NY.
