I am in the same situation as yours, immigration status wise. I would recommend making the best of the situation. Are you in College?

Imo,you shouldn't wait for anything if you're at a point in your life where you want to get ahead & only your status is keeping you back.

There are plenty of other places to go, especially immigration welcoming countries like Sweden and Australia. However, unlike Ianus I'd recommend you suppress these young urges. Things are not going to be easy just because you moved to another country. This is your home.

I really don't know what to say to your family problems. Stories like this makes me really want to extend a helping hand. If you live in NYC, let me know.

Otherwise, I can only promise I'll listen and let your story motivate us all.

Welcome to the forum,
I am not sure what you should do as far as stay and wait or go. But what I can say to yourself and anybody else who has felt really sad to the point of taking their own life is, I think we have all been there.

Maybe just once, or even 200 days a year, where we feel like shit, like the lack of documents we have has really F*cked up our lives, were really depressed and we have no hope in the future.
But what I think about is the day that will come, whether in the US, or maybe some of us will leave. But they day when we can be free and not worry about ICE or getting a job, or driving.

Once days our struggles that we currently face will be a memory, our lives will nto be like this forever, but not me have to sit and wait either for CIR or the flight that takes us to a country that welcomes us. Either way we will all have better days, just try not to let our current situations get us down too much, where we end it, leaving our best says in our past.

OMG I have so much to say. But it's so much in my head that I honestly don't think I wanna write it all down right now.

If you want and are interested, you can find my personal story on a thread in The Lounge. I know exactly how you feel.

If your dad or mom are here legally in the United States you can apply for a visa based on your being mistreated physically/mentally. i believe its a U or V visa i'm not so sure.
