if the Dream Act didn't pass? I'm curious. We're all in here hoping for our "Dreams" to come true..And I don't know how anyone else feels...But i feel hopeless, confused and pissed off I can't even plan the next few years of my life the way I want. What do you plan to do? Move to another country? I'm thinking Spain or U.K. maybe I can have someone join me and we can start our own little "american" community elsewhere...Just saying, we gotta hope for the best and prepare for the worst..

If CIR or Dream don't pass by the time i graduate (about 3 years) then i'll prob marry my bf sooner than planned. I love him but i wish with all my heart that at least Dream passes before i graduate.

I wish it passed today, but worst case scenario I can wait for like 5 years. I feel for all my brothers and sisters here that can't afford to wait any longer, I really feel for you guys .

I really can't wait any longer...my life has been on hold for the past 2 years. If the Dream Act doesn't pass this spring, I will move to Mexico by july. I'm applying to schools in Taiwan right now, so hopefully i can continue college there this september.

Well if it doesn't pass... I don't think a lot of people will sit here and wait. It will take at least 3 more years before they come up with another version, IF they do. And It's America's lost if they decline the DREAM Act. They will be basically saying "No." to the promising youth that are sitting here because their parents brought them here. The youth that just wants status to move up in the ladder of life. Not the millions of Mexican immigrants who crossed the border that everyone assumes people are talking about when they hear "illegal" immigrant.

If the DREAM Act is declined, I for one ain't gonna sit here and let my life keep on going by when I could be else where getting a degree and doing something with my life. Now, until it is voted on of course, all we can do is wait and of course advocate for it. But before that, we cant give up.

I can't wait till next year, let alone 3-5 years. If it dosen't pass I'm looking to other countries NOW. Can't go back to my own country I lost too much connection with it, can relate to the culture and language. Canada or New Zealand, God willing one of those or something better works out.

Honestly, although just a few months back I had decided I wanted to leave the country in the near future, I don't think I'll be doing that. Why? I love my life in this country and the direction that it's heading in. I know I'll be able to achieve some success here. Sure, I know, a limited success due to my status but I'm okay with that.

Besides, this is my home and I seek what the average human being seeks. To find that one special person, get married and start a family. Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to adjust my status then as well.

I'm going to go to law school. Either way, I'll still be here for a while longer even if it doesn't pass.

Probably moving to Australia or Portugal if it doesn't pass soon. Seeing as how I'm a citizen of both. I'd only be leaving family behind. Then again moving by myself would be highly unstable. =\ it's a tough choice..
