What am I up to now? I live a bit of a double life that isn't exactly the stereotypical "undocumented" one. It's hard to describe, and even harder to believe, but I've somehow infiltrated myself into one of those "jobs a million people would kill for." I am constantly around A-list people and many have probably seen my production work on TV, magazines, billboards. Somehow, I've managed to .. well, "educate" some pretty powerful people in the business about the DREAM Act and that we exist in hopes that they give us their support and expose that there is a situation that needs to be handled without fully exposing myself.

I also work as a freelance web designer and photographer which has earned me quite a client list with a lot of hard work, tears, and sometimes blood.

Safe to say I've worked extremely hard for what I've been able to accomplish and even though there are times where I'm incredibly frustrated, there are things out there that need to be done, just push for them. I admire a good amount of people here for working hard and not giving up, especially those who have been able to finish school one way or another. We are what America needs as we define being Americans even if we don't have a paper or card saying so. We are hard working, determined, multi-cultural, and above all, proud of what we've been able to do.

OMG I remember The Inquisitor!!! HAHA....I was trying to think of the name but it escaped me. What happened with him??? Yeah the old forum I was always on at the start and then it just got 1) Completely OUTDATED no new info since like '05 and it was like '08 or something 2) Ridiculous with fights and trolls 3) boring lol...nothing new or interesting ever came out. I've learned so much more on this forum. I give kudos to the people running it because it's much more organized and just better in general.

I too live that double life. I just got promoted at my work and let me tell you I feel SOOO BLESSED to have the job that I have. It's not an A-List job but if I'm able to keep it up for a couple of years I can put it on my resume and IF I decide there's nothing going to happen here and try to move to Canada it would count as experience. So this is actually something that will open doors for me.

You are definitively an old member if you remember TheInquisitor.

I'm not in the forums very often anymore... but i used to be.

I finished college on 2008 and moved to Mexico right after. Now I'm working and doing a master's here.

I guess you can say I am an old member. I got on this and Cosa about 4 years ago. A few months before we were attacked by the bots. When people would constantly argue with the Inquisitor (Even though he was obnoxious, we were fighting the same battle, and I hope he still is fighting for us). But I never really posted much. Log in and read, but never been much of a poster. I made the calls, sent the faxes and all. Do you all remember where you were and how you felt when Dream in 07 got voted down in the senate?

Or remember the CIR bill in 06'? Deals like the Hutchinson-Pence Amendment I would take in 5 seconds now if it was offered,

Yeah I would log in and read every once in a while but I was pretty busy with school I didn't really keep up. I didn't even realize how crazy things were with the trolls and all that and the inquisitor. I didn't even realize that the site was shut down until MONTHS after it happened. Then somehow I came across this forum.

I don't remember what I felt when Dream Act didn't pass in '07 but I think I had a feeling it wasn't going to so I wasn't too disappointed.

I think we have a better chance now to tell you the truth. People seem more united.

Question I just saw in your signature about the cashcrate...how does that work or does it work??? Can you PM with the details I would love to give you credit for it if I end up signing up for it.

YOU LEFT FOR MEXICO??? OMG! How is it over there?? How are you doing?? What part? I think in '08 when I graduated I was SOOO close to leaving too then....dun dun...I fell in love....now I don't know what to do. Sometimes I think about moving to Canada because I think it would be good for both of our careers but his is so specific that well...Canada may not be the best option for him. BUT anyway...back to you and Mexico lol

Mexico is pretty awesome. I live in Aguascalientes where the Feria de San Marcos takes place (which is also a-w-e-s-o-m-e). I've been living here since 2008. Its great to go around without the possiblity of being deported. I have a good job in my field of study. I started my masters in robotics last august with the company I work-for paying a reasonable chunk of money.

I'm pretty happy-- don't regret the choice at all.

It's been a while since I've posted here. My brother and I were the ones who created the COSA website, sad to say that in the end it was overrun by spam bots, I guess we just lost dedication over time. I'm so glad that others were able to take the initiative to continue such a great cause on the internet. This is certainly the best site out there for DREAM ACT followers. I can't say enough about 'the inquisitor', he tried his best at helping out and being an active member, his intentions were good, but he did have a very different view about many issues, and a lot of us, even myself had confrontations with his opinions.

I wish everyone the best, it's great to hear from some of those older members!

Yah I definitely remember how it felt when Dream was voted down in 07, I was disappointed but still very optimistic since I had a US citizen GF and were planning on getting married anyways.

Sad to say her parents made us break up for a couple things...one being that I was illegal...

Anyways I'm getting super close to finally graduating with my degree in Electrical Engineering, and I've held the same intern position for the past 2 summers that I will probably get again, although I want another slightly more related to power distribution rather than alternative energy now.

I'm going to wait 1 year before I leave the country after I graduate, I hope that works out!
