I can't say enough about 'the inquisitor', he tried his best at helping out and being an active member, his intentions were good, but he did have a very different view about many issues, and a lot of us, even myself had confrontations with his opinions.

I wish everyone the best, it's great to hear from some of those older members!
You and your brother did your part and you guys should be proud of what you accomplished with the CoSA site. If it wasn't for you, DAP could had never been created.

It was in CoSA where Nick, Abbadon and myself got together and decided to give birth to DAP after that horrible attack from ALIPAC. Regardless of what VJB2 says, CoSA was not a disaster. This guy doesn't know what he says and doesn't know how to appreciate the hard work you put on the CoSA site. He mentions he was one of the first members to join DAP, but that is not a big deal because EVERY SINGLE CoSA MEMBER got an invitation to join once DAP had been set up and was running properly.

CoSA was a fun place where I met really cool people. It was addicting just as DAP is...and do you know why? Because DAP is CoSA on steroids. The goal is the same, people is the same...some of us grew up together. I've known Nick, Abaddon, Rocasalada, iamtired, theK-man, and many many many many more people for years. We are kind of family.

Let me say:

Thank you Angel for creating CoSA. It gave us a place where to meet people and share our problems.

I use to come here about a year ago I think when it had the old format so I could read the news about the Dream Act and get some encouragement but it was until recently that I joined to make a difference.

Even though I don't post much I still lurk around I've always lurked around. However, I like to take things a little easier now days. I graduated in 08 with a BA in Sociology/History Studies, a minor in Spanish and a specialization in Translation & Interpretation. If you remember Inquisitor you are old I agree. But does anyone still remember how he painfully (for me) insisted at first that I was a girl? LOL, Only a couple of members know where I got my nick name from! I'm hoping you don't reveal it in this forum. None the less it has been fun watching new members ask questions like: When exactly is the Dream Act going to pass? or say things like: This is the year guys I know it, I got this feeling! etc etc. I remember back in the day when COSA was still around and Kerry lost the election. It was really a sad thing. That's why I'm lurking now, a sort of a background member. But when things start to speed up every year I'm there, I've always been there making calls, going to rallies and praying that the Dream Act finally passes. Man am I old 26! but there is still more fighting to do. When I got sad after Kerry lost I learned that hope dies last. As long as there is hope there will always be that chance that one day we'll be free. Don't ever forget that or let yourself loose hope. Wow, it wasn't my intention to get real emotional all of the sudden. I guess hearing about all the old members brings back good memories!

Actually I never got the invite to join DAP...=( Thanks for the invite. Then again I never really posted on the COSA site, I just lurked in the background. COSA did help but toward the end it was just crazy and honestly I kinda gave up hope and was ready to leave so I stopped lurking in the background. And then all of a sudden it was gone. I'm grateful though for COSA because it did give me a "home" and place to know I wasn't alone in all of this. I feel more apart of it all now that I'm posting more and getting to know the members. But yup thank you COSA founders for what you did, you gave us a home. And now we are building I think a larger community.

We can't loose hope but we have to continue living life...crazy paradox now isn't it?

I remember there being a disagrement on "going" or "staying". Some people were like "join our lolz at DAP" and others were like "cosa is yo home". And K-man was like "I'm the admin" and others were like "Angel, i want to be the admins". And then the Inquisitor saying "I'm all powerful, kneel".

Fun drama, those times.

I'm not an old member, but I used to be a lurker until I created this account. I haven't been on the website all that much lately, school is very busy. Still, the efforts of those who have been involved with CoSa and DAP for all these years are incredibly valuable. Don't give up guys.

Dear all,

dado123, was a very active member of dap. Long story short, graducated college:
As an undergrad, I lived life my life as any other American, but worked twice as hard. One of my proudest moments in life is graduating college whilst funding the majority of my educating. Now I work for shipping company, decent pay, great benefits, it is true, if you work hard in America the sky is the limit. One of the great ironies is that I am undocumented, on case/case, basis I work closely with customs. I hv even been aboard a ship, with a customs officer who was checking crew-members visas. As an undegrad, I performed, a internship on the U.S. Coast Guard Military Base, where I updated a compliance program. Again, the great irony is that I remain undocumented, my advice to everyone, reading in copy, is to live life, the means to an end don't matter, reaching a goal to me matters. I wud want to be more involved, but life is now different, long hours at my desk in the office, putting the extra effort, partially becus of my status, compounded with not being seen as incompentent in my responsibilities leave no time to be a so active member. However, do often, glaze through forum..

Good Luck To You All.
