This is the one thing that I didn't understan, everythig else was spot on. I've never been told anything about not cashing a refund check that's in your name if you file with your itin.

"-It's still possible to obtain a license and a social not valid for work in Texas, you just have to find the people who can point you to the right place :/ [I know, not many details.]"

Is there anybody that does have some details on this? Specifically in Texas? Please? PM me if you don't want to share publicly. Thanks.

Agreed.

Wtf is wrong with you OP? yea Mexicans can be real assholes, but have you ever worked with a Indian or Italian to say they are any better? I've worked with a lot of Mexicans and I can say they have some good people coming out of that country. Yea there are some real dicks who are miserable because their whole lives is all about going to some fucking restaurant kitchen everyday to clean and cook for dicks like this ICE officer you've supposedly been talking to, but on that note anyone from any country living that life will most definitely act the same way.

Either ways who is he or you to judge a race? I highly doubt he has worked in a restaurant kitchen with a Mexican to KNOW such a thing in the first place.

But that's expected coming from ICE... Shame on you though for agreeing.

PS. Thanks for the post though. =)

yeah I've been told the same thing. That we are not allowed to cash the checks if you get a refund. Don't know why but your not supposed to....

I guess the reasoning is act of cashing implies that you had claimed yourself to be a citizen. But still, you get a refund because you FILED your taxes. That is suppose to be good thing

No, bc there are PRs and people with work permits that file and get refunds.

Please stop me if am wrong, but unless this "highly ranked ICE official" is secretary of homeland security I think most of this is bullshit. I don't really see any helpful information here. The part about working and military is basically self explanatory, who here would walk around with a fake social? Most of the information provided are decisions that can be made on your own with common sense and good judgment. The part about DREAM is even more mind boggling. Chuck Schumer don't even know when his own bill is going to come out and he's the third-ranking Democrat in the Senate, first it was gonna be fall, then after health care, but yet still this "highly ranked ICE man" know exactly when things are gonna be fixed even before the midterms election. "He knows that some sort of pathway for undocumented immigrants (free of a criminal charges) to become legal residents will be established and put to action towards the end of 2011. It will not be called an immigration amnesty"
