If you have no CASH, only way is to work at a restaurant.
I get paid $3600 a month making sushi.
I know dishwashers that make $2800 easy.
Move to cali where money is big.
Then go to Seattle.
sounds good! would you be willing to help me out with info about how to get there?

Anyone done this recently?

I've been thinking about moving out there or at least taking a trip out there. Used to have a license in another state but it's currently expired/suspended. Would this cause any problems? Can I fly in an airplane using my old DL?

No, it will work, a legitimate license from ANY state is a very good form of identification; i know from personal experience. I have been pulled over twice, once for speeding near my house, and another for speeding near my Universities parking garage. The police officer from the former situation was very nice (if you respect him, then he'll respect you); just answer everything with "Yes sir". He did not even ask about my drivers license (which was from a different state), he just wrote me my hefty fine and off i went. The latter police officer told me to upgrade my license to the current state, but this is not required so i did not comply. [mod edit] He also wrote me my hefty fine, and off i went.
[mod edit] Like i said, i know from personal experience.

Hi all,
Does anyone who has made the trip want to talk about their experience? I'm a student at Columbia Journalism School and am looking to write on the difficulties DREAMers face when applying for driver's licenses. I'm currently in New York but would like to hear from folks in any state. Using your real name is entirely optional and I am willing to both speak over the phone and chat online. Please contact me through PM or at my email address, [email protected]. Thanks, everyone.

Stefanos

EDIT: Here's a useful list of all state requirements for driver's licenses from the National Immigration Law Center. Click on the pdf "Overview of States' Driver's License Requirements."

So, as of late January 2010, is it still possible to obtain a DL in WA without a social? Just curious, cuz I thought they had taken away that privilege a while back.
