What do we think? If this passes, I'll be happy for the people that can apply for it. However, if this passes but not the DREAM Act, not sure how I'll feel then.

But, I feel like this may raise more awareness towards the DREAM Act.

I think its sad if it proceeds beyond being introduced on the floor. Introducing a bill like this is easy peasey, but CIR has to wait because if they introduce in Senate, they know a movement will push for a vote they don't want to take. Also: if we can't have our separate bill move separately, why the rich of the world? How many million dollar ideas is the US missing out on each year by forcing Dreamers to wait and wait. Why oh why won't Lugar join Schumer on CIR??

Well, that's a great plan for those who know a US investor who will put in 250,000 minimum to venture your own business.

How many of us know an investor who will provide that kind of money?

Realistically, who's willing to open up a business? I mean I wouldn't mind but what about the rest of our fellow DREAMers who don't qualify?

Hm, the old saying holds true: "The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer!"

I think though we would still need to go back. Plus seriously, who of us knows someone with that much money that will back us out??

This bill is only worthwhile if it is to be combined into CIR. Otherwise, totally worthless, in terms of our cause.
