Other options like our countries militaries.

Ok so i have manage to skip the 12 grade, but now i dont know what i am going to do. I don't have any schoolarships or anything, yet i am rank number one in my school. Anyway, i don't want to put my future in the hands of congress to even start talking about the Dream Act, so i am looking at other options like joining the Mexican military or The French Foreign Legion. I was wondering if you guys and girls could informe me about the mexican military like it's pay and does it offer the apportunity of advancement(i dont want to be a soilder forever). I also was wondering if you all know of other possibly better choices. If so please do tell i am at a dead end.

lets just say you're better off jumping off a bridge then going into the f.f.l or the mexican military. pay is probably a dollar per day. better choices are getting a dl, living in a state that gives dls,finding a good paying job and finding something you like to do. many many many awesome things to do in the us

What is so bad about Mexico? Everyone i have told of my plans to move there told me "that i didn't know in what hell i was getting into,"however i feel that maybe it was thier own personal experience cause by the fact that they didn't have an education. Then again i don't have an education in spanish , so as ya can see i am trouble and bewilder about my future there. I was wondering and ya knew of someone who move there and could tell me if he was succesful. What do they do now? How much they earn? Do they seem happy?.... Yesterday i was reading a forum about moving to New York City and well i taught that it was great place to live. Back to the original question: What kind of things would stop me from getting into the military ,and if i do get in, how long is it going to take to get my rank up?

You'll probably die first man. Forget about Mexico's military specially now days with the war against drug trafficking. Things are going from bad to worst in most northern states. And things aren't that good in southern states either. Plus when you join the military you'll just find yourself following orders so you don't know where the heck you'll end up. Just to give you an idea I'm hearing that in certain cities in northern Mexico everything (restaurants, bars, etc) is closed by 6pm because of how bad it is right now. Heck even behind my grandmother's house in Monterrey they were fighting with grenades! So why is it so bad in Mexico? Simply put, because you can die there! Specially if you join the military. And that to me would be taking a step backwards going from dreaming to being dead! Don't you think so?

wish i could tell you of someone succesfull but im sure they were all killed by the drug cartels within the first year of getting there. whats so bad about mexico? you will oppresed to the point where it will drive you mentally insane

But seriously i have thought about the same thing and we'll if by the time i am done with my Bachelor's they have taken away my TPS and i am left completely undocumented then i am going to El Salvador at least there i'll be able to do whatever i please with my life.

yeah hes pretty oppressed but not as much as he would be in mexico or other latin smerican countries. i cant eblieve you would consider leaving the us for el salvador, there is a mara salvatrucha war going in el salvador, hell no. i believe people that leave arent fully american or live in the middle of no where,u.s . the us is bad for us now , but there are sooooo many ways around things, its like endless possabilities is youre smart. and if you're getting like older like over 24 or something, you never know when you might get married you know. i couldnt leave this country and go to my home country as cooland as awesome as it may be. youre banned from here for 10 years! no more awesome concerts of your fav artists all the time , awesome art festivals, summers w/ friends, the people of the us, your hometown! i love where i grew up, where i did my first everything, being able to do thing you cant possibly live without doing that you can only do in your unique hometown in the us. im never gonnas leave, im gonna grow the fuck old and hopefully pass away of old age in the beatiful northwest! never leave, stay and fight for your rights, that is what been an american is all about.
btw only in the us, your gonna kick back and smoke a fat blunt with a mexican/latin american, a black dude , a middle eastern, a white dude, an asian, a pacific islander, and mix of all the above. a high school memeory you'll only have here

Dude why theirs gangs in the U.S. as well... theirs gangs everywhere so that's not a worry. My reasoning would be job opportunities, their is no reason for me to stay in a country that does not appreciate me being here or that is not willing to give me opportunities to improve myself, i don't want to be a slave all my life and work at a dead end job earning just enough to live another day. I would rather go to El Salvador and become a police officer/ join the military and do something with myself and if at the end of a day they kill me well then i died happy i did everything in my power to improve myself, aside from that if am dead i don't have to worry about anything since am already dead lol. Here in the U.S. you can't do shit without a green card or citizenship (well at least what i would like to do). So our home countries are wonderful countries maybe not full of opportunities like the U.S. but they have some. The U.S. is full of opportunities but they are only for citizens, shit you can't even be a fucken bus driver without your citizenship. Theirs lots to think about and well fear is what keeps us from improving ourselves. "Theirs is nothing to fear but fear itself" lol lame quote but hey its a true one.

French military will be the last thing I'll ever join.....
