Hello, I am trying to get into a college Texas. I'm coming from another state, but I'm finding it difficult to apply for the college. I'm trying to transfer my credits and all.

The college I am trying to apply is an Alamo college. Also, is there a way fro me to get in state tuition, even though I'm out of state?

If you're in the San Antonio Area, it would be nice to have a helping hand.

here in texas, you have to live at least 6 months and graduated from a texas high school. in order to receive instate tuition, but to receive state financial aid i think you only have to live here for 6 or more months... a little research wont hurt..

Yep under the SB1528, you would have to pay out of state tuition. But I'm not even sure if you can go to college if you are a Dream student and out of state!

Here are the qualifications:

1. Must have graduated from a Texas high school or received the equivalent of a high school diploma (e.g. GED) in the state of Texas; and
2. Must have resided in the state of Texas for the three years immediately preceding graduation from high school or the receipt of the GED certificate; and
3. Must not have established a residence outside the state of Texas during the 12 months prior to enrollment at a college in Texas; and
4. Must provide a notarized letter stating that:
1. they will file an application to become a permanent resident of the U.S. at the earliest opportunity they will be eligible to do so.
