I just saw this piece concerning how the legal framework of the immigration system works as a comic.The dubious thing is that it is actually pretty much accurate & highlights how it works & why it is so difficult to immigrate to the US or to "get in line" as some like to say.

I like how easy they broke it down.
It doesn't even include the hardship those who EWI (immediate relative of a USC or PR) have to go through w/o 245i.

Funny thing is my family has gone/is going through most of those routes.
My mom's GC came through this month, it makes me both happy and sad knowing how long of a wait it's going to be... but at least, it's something.

Yes, I was quite amused and informed. However, it makes me sad because with all the current laws right now about whether you entered here lawfully or unlawfully I am unable to get papers through my USC fiancee. Its stupid, I have to leave the country and adjust there? I don't even know MEXICO! It makes me so sad. If only that law was removed and I could adjust here, I'd have it made in the shade.
