Had to re-register here since I could not remember my old username. Anyway, I've been reading this forum for a long time but rarely posted. But I wanted to share what happened to me today, because it may help some people.

I was pulled over today in Florida because the cop run my license plate number and saw that the associated driver's license was expired. There was no traffic violation. The car's registration and insurance was up to date. But my license expired several years ago and obviously I am unable to renew it. I had no idea they can pull someone over like that. Anyway, the officer was really nice and didn't ask me why my license was expired. He let me go, but I have to appear in court. He said it would be good if I had my license renewed by then or at least have some paperwork that shows I am in the process of having my license renewed, but I don't see how I can go about doing that.
