If some one does not explain what the big deal about June 15 ( other than Court for the three undocumented ) I'm going to slap a hoe.

Don't get me wrong; I was brought here at the age of 5 and I'm 17 now. I really hope the best for them. I just want to know why June 15 is in everyone's mouth.

Simply put after June 15th members of congress are in full time re-election mode and Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan will take up debate in senate for most of summer plus funding is either very low or non-existent after June 15th for Pro-Dream Act and CIR orgs.

June 15th is just the deadline we (the movement) are giving ourselves to get the bill on the floor in the Senate b/c, as mentioned above, the end of June and part of July will be Kagan's nomination hearings. There's also the attempts at climate change and financial aid reform to keep in mind, though both don't look so hot right now.

IF we can get the bill moving in the Senate by mid-June, we still have a narrow window to do the same in the House and get the bill passed. August is recess and everything after September is campaigning for the November elections.

After June, if things haven't rolled, our chances are slim to none.

There is always the start of 2011.

Though others might be annoyed, you always make my day with your nonsense. I find it so humorous.

There is NOT the start of 2011. After elections in November, we stand to lose some of our supporters and co-sponsors, and the DREAM Act would have to be re-introduced and start from scratch, from 0.

I don't know about you, but I can't afford to wait any longer. So you feel free to keep putting your dreams on hold, and keep thinking these politicians are actually telling the truth and not pandering to their voters, but I'll be damned if one more person asks our movement to wait another year.

I've been waiting sixteen years, and I'm not waiting anymore. So hop on the train, or get off.
