I live with 3 USC (two younger siblings, grandfather) relatives and 3 of us are undocumented (Mom, sister and me). While I've been lucky enough to get instate tuition, it's still hard financially because there are two of us in college. My father who's a PR, pays my tuition when he feels like it and because of where I live in GA, it's harder to find work without an SSN.

I don't drive, don't have an SSN, and haven't completed either of my Bachelor's degrees, six years after graduating with honors from high school. At this point, that's all I really want to do.

So, um...I'd give my situation a 5. It could be worse. I could be separated from my Mom or have been deported back home by now.

3..I consider myself very lucky and thank God everyday for what I have despite this immigration situation. My parents have paid for my entire college education. I've been helping them as much as I can by working during the summers. However, its just a fraction of how much my parents have contributed. I'm about to graduate in December with a very prestigious degree from a private college. Hopefully things will settle down by then!

8 or 9. I live far from town, can't see my girlfriend because I have no car. Her parents think I'm a bum. No job but little stuff here and there. Mostly feel bad work. College is 30 minutes on foot.

But at least I'm healthy.

Probably a 5.

I don't have a SS/DL. I do, however have a job. Pays the bills and I'm very good at saving so I'm able to save up in case of emergency. I have a car and started going to a C.College two semesters ago with instate tuition which is great. I live in Cali so I don't complain. My social life sucks but with such a great family I have, I can't complain.

Life would be definitely be easier with the Ss and Dl, but I know the day will come.

Depends on the day.. varies from 4-10..

When I first graduated high school, I was on the same page as the OP. Then I kept busy with school, had a license from 17 to 22 and did more/ accomplished more than some USC I know..

Right now its a combo of things that are going good/ in limbo kinda phase.. Just trying to learn to appreciate each day for what it is.. And remind myself this is temporary.. That in 5 years, I'll be closer to the life I've wanted.

P.s: While I can't do much about my education going anywhere now. I believe it is also keeping me younger, as I will be a college student probably until my early 30's.

9 - I, too, live in Arizona.
Aside from that, I don't drive, I don't have a job, don't really have friends here in Phoenix anymore, but at least I have in-state tuition.
