Yea that's what I'm hoping since I always take it to go to CT without a problem.. but does anyone else have any suggestions? I would love to go by car but got no one to drive me. I have my passport (without stamps/visa) and was thinking about the airport but last time I used it, it worked, but it was almost a year ago.

Yeah, I used to take it between New York and Connecticut too...It's a very safe option. I'm not sure about issues related to flying, maybe another member can elaborate more on it.

How is the amtrak line from Louisiana to New York, (Grand Central Station), and back? Are immigration officials present along the way? I know the train makes stops in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and finally at Grand Central station. Is it safe? Is it worth the risk? I know flying is definitely out of the way.....

Because of all the crazy lunatics trying to so harm to innocent people, security has heightened, so I know I can not risk the air port...

That shouldn't be as safe. Anything 100 miles next to the border is an area ICE can inspect. That nominally applies to eastern US, but I haven't seen anything like what's happening in the north and south borders.
