What? Really? How did that end up happening?

I would say 8 or 9. I'm so sick of working 2 jobs and studying, hoping that something will happen when its clear that this country doesn't want me-- although it should, 'cause a good percentage of their people are pretty hopeless. I'm pretty sick of people who are so privileged waste their lives on stupid things~

Until last month, I was a 5.
Got into nursing school
Loyal friends who know my status
I have a loving mom who helps me out and I help her
Just renewed my passport
No car
No job

Now I am a 7
Still no car and no job, PLUS
Paying for NS is going to be hard because we can't pay for it like I thought
Mom fractured her wrist and money won't be coming in like before; she can't work as much
Forcing me to pick between NS and finding a man with papers.
Live in fear of ICE more than ever
Watching friends have a life and a career
Feel like life is slowly falling apart

Hmm, I think I'm going to count my blessings...

1) have a loving family -1
2) have a roof over my head -1
3) have food -1
4) have some friends -1
5)I'm in school, when I have the money -1
6) it's good to know I'm not the only one in this situation -1
7) I have a loving boyfriend (even though he doesn't know) -1
there's accessible transportation where I live, if not I always have people to give me a ride -1

= -8

So, that would mean 10-8= 2

i'd say i'm at a 4

I've been here since I was 2-3 months old, still no documents, every lawyer i've gone to tells me theres nothing i can do about it, when i was a kid i pictured that by 21 i'd have my legal status, how disappointing, not trying to be a debbie downer here but i can't believe how unfair this is

i have to pay out of state tuition cause i moved to Seattle, but my mom's helping me out with that, she's wonderful, either way, it could be worse, i'm alright, i'm grateful for what i do have. and the help and support that i get from my family and my girlfriend.

i'm also grateful for this forum. YAY!

Dang. Some of these posts are really depressing. Kinda sucks to realize how difficult our lives are only because of 9 simple digits. Or is it 10?? I wouldn't know...I don't have a SSN! LOL

I'd say about a 3

I live in Texas and I'm 16 and now a Senior at my high school and well, the only thing that sucks about being here is that I don't have a license, ssn, or anything to be exact. I sometimes stay up till 2 or 3 at night thinking about what my life could be or could've been. I hate to think about the fact that I'm undocumented because it just reminds me of how much I am so unwelcome in this country.

My social life could be better. I mostly go to parties in the weekends and what not, but during the weekdays, I sometimes stay in to play Modern Warfare 2, do someP90X, play soccer with some friends, or just simply go out and run for my last year in Cross Country. Money is no problem. Btw, I have some really conservative friends who know about my situation. I'm an honor student and well..pretty much all my friends know about my situation. If it wasn't for the honor stuff, I'd probably not be sympathized. All my needs are met and some wants are also met. I have a great family, even though they're annoying as hell sometimes, but other than that, my life's great compared to others now that I think about it.

The only thing that we have to remember is that sometimes life knocks you down, but only we can decide when to get back up.

¡Que tengan unas buenas noches!
