April 30, 2001 for F4!!!

But this I'm really stressing out right now, because I'm a couple months over 21. I know my CSPA age is under 21, but I don't understand whether the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA) applies to the fourth-preference category???

Does anybody know whether CSPA recognizes the F4 category???

Very nice visa bulletin update......even the F2A category jumped a year and should help a lot of people out.

Congrats! My PD is still 5 years from being current in F2B, but at the rate that category is also moving, I could be current by the end of this year. Let's hope it stays that way. Then of course there's the DREAM Act. w00t!

I'm in the exact same situation! I'm going to mail in my stuff anyway because I've calculated it many times and my CSPA age is like 18 (our I-130 took forever, not to mention all the time that it took for the visa to become current). I heard that you can appeal that stuff but honestly I don't see why we'd have any issues. I'm almost 22 now btw. If you google CSPA calculator you can use that to calculate your CSPA age.

I heard that they do deny quite a few but if you attach a memo and are sure you qualify without any weird stuff going on, you can probably appeal it. You can always consult a lawyer but I'm too poor

BTW, the category doesn't matter, CSPA is something different. Are you a direct beneficiary or are you doing it through a parent?
