Hello,
As many of you guys here, I am not legal. I came here when I was in 1st grade when I was 7 or so and now I am a sophomore in high school. I lived in California my whole life. I'm almost turning 16 the age where everyone obsesses about driving. I would love to drive to help me get across town, drive my self to practice instead of stressing my parents out. I was wondering if there is ANY way that I could be able to drive, and if I do just end up driving with out a drivers license that I could get deported or anything big like that?
For those of you who are too lazy to read the whole thing my two questions are
Is there a way to get a drivers license in California without a social security number?
If I do get pulled over without a drivers license as a minor what would my consequences be?

I believe there's no way.

And if you get pulled over it depends.

My friend had no license(Even though the dumb guy was born here) when he was 17
and we were going from a party around 4 or 4 30 am, we got pulled over so he just showed his school id they asked where we were going we said home so they let us go.'

In the other hand

My other friend has no license and he got caught speeding so they took his car and ticket him. So you risk getting the car taken away that's as far as a I know.

I live in cali

If I go get a license from Washington, or New Mexico can I get all my driving lessons here and then go get my license there? Or do I have to go all the way to Washington or New Mexico for driving lessons

Don't ever drive without a license. You will be putting yourself and others in danger, so don't even consider it.

You're just a sophmore and even though most of your friends might be getting their licenses, it's not a big deal if you don't. If you really need to get to certain places, ask your parents, you're still 16 so it's their responsibility. However, if you consider yourself independent then you can always rely on buses or metros.

I just read something about Washington so that would be your best shot. Good luck

I didn't get my license until after I graduated high school. I was lucky then because I got a SS. My license expired and I can't renew it so I know what you mean. I'm 20 and I always feel so dependent on my parents when I ask them to drive me to places. It really sucks because all your friends have cars. Thankfully, my 3 best friends know about my situation so they drive me around.

Don't stress too much right now. You're only in high school. For now, study your butt off, and worry about getting into a good college. Don't let this get to you.
Hopefully, Dream Act passed by the time you graduated!

Having a licence doesn't make anyone a better driver either.

There are plenty of wreckless drivers out there with a licence.
