Mod Edit: watch your language,
I don't think it's like that or that people are making a difference. I wish the best to this guy, because many of us wish we could move to the UK, to Europe. And besides, this guy sounds like he is content with the choice he has made. When most of us picture the UK, we picture it as a more colder version of the US, and we think it's nice, you know? Whereas, when one thinks of going back to our home countries (latin countries) we get this frown, because we know how bad life can be there contrary to how people picture life in Europe!
Also, many of us wish we could be DREAMies from other Scandinavian countries like Irish, Poland, etc because we wouldn't be so targeted, you know?
Anyways, good luck in the UK! I want to go live there for a couple of months some day if I have the chance!!

Thanks guys, I will let you know how it goes.

I am both excited and sad about leaving. My parents are staying behind and idk when I will see them again But the prospect of being able to start living for real and being able to do all the things I never could such as drive and travel and not feel like a criminal make it worthwhile.

I don't know if you will be detained or not. Have you tried asking an immigration lawyer? There are pro-bono or free consultation immigration lawyers that will be able to give you information for no cost if you call them.
Thanks for the kind words invictus, I might contact one just in case.
