Only 3 days before SB1070 kicks in. Tension is starting to build up, people are starting to feel the pressure. At work I hear people saying, " On Thursday I have to go pick up my child's school books !", others say that they have to go to work and they might call a taxi to transport them, but say what if they don't want to give them a ride due to their skin color. Others say that its going to get ugly, all I picture in my mind over and over again is people getting pulled over, people crying as they get handcuffed, ladies crying pulling their hand to grab their childs as they are getting arrested and put in the police car, people just peaking out of their window, people going into Arpaio's jail camp, kids at home waiting for their parents at home when they got arrested and they might not go home for a while, and Hispanics gathering up because one of their family members was arrested. All these type of thoughts start to go through my mind, for some reason there's even moments where I feel don't feel safe even on my own home !

In a way I feel like it's not going to be as ugly as that since I too live in AZ since many police depts. have said they did not want to enforce this law, so I don't think they will follow through for much time. Just a couple of weeks so they can make some numbers and it will eventually die down. And I guess it will also be down to the police officer to ask you for your papers or not, like when they pull you over and they just ask you for a drivers license, insurance, give you the ticket and let you go but don't tow your car.
Like when they passed 300, and people were so scared of going to the hospital in fear they were going to get deported? and there was a few cases that were only known to the public, but among us the hispanic community we didn't hear many people getting deported from going to the ER. Remember?
I do believe the law will get stopped and taken out eventually, but new ones will arise since this wasn't the only time they've tried to pass it, but this time it actually passed. I don't see many other friends moving, so i feel like im moving out of state a little too fast, but then again, you can never be too cautious when it comes to having a deportation on your record you know?
My only fear is that other states in the US will try to pass similar laws, where are we going to go, you know?
but im actually kind of glad about moving, Arizona is a bit*h. It tormented me for so many years, always thinking if i was going to get pulled over, driving in fear, scared of the news, always wishing and crying because I wanted to go to ASU, etc.

As soon as it passes, all hell will break loose.
It was a BIG mistake cause now the government is gonna get so many riots and stuff.
Not to mention, the threats from the drug cartels..

Have all the law suits been ruled on by the judge? Nobody seems to be giving recent updates on that.

I hope it causes a lot of havoc, so it puts more pressure on the immigration issue.

If obama's injuction is denied, I still see this law killed w/in 30 days of enforcement. Some of you guys may be too young to remember Pito Wilson's bullshit, but likely scenario will occur.

I'm being generous with the 30 day timeline, but in science we lean on the conservative....

No one knows what will happen. If I was a betting man, I would have bet on the judge striking down part of SB1070. However, I thought DA would be voted on by now too - so I don't gamble!
