The second year I told her I'm undocumented. Because I didn't go to college she ask me the reason why.

Hm, you waited 2 years. Thanks for your input. Were you scared when you told her?

Kinda. But I was think if I don't tell her then we probably can't stay together. She needs to know it.

why people feel the need to disclose this information is beyond me.

I would say tell him, if you are in love and really think you are going somewhere with the relationship. However, the relationship will change for the good or the bad, depends what you and him make of it.

All my good friends and past BF's all knew.. I didn't tell them right away... But when something came up that required me being honest why I couldn't do certain things, If I trusted the person they would know..

Growing up my mom made it seem like if I told a soul ICE would come knocking on my door. I hated to feel alone. And once I was able to feel comfortable telling people about it it felt so much better to then come to them when I was feeling down.. Almost everyone I know in real life is a citizen..They don't completely understand how it is.. But, being open with those I trust is WAYY better than having to find ways to lie about it.

But my advice is wait till you're comfortable.. You also don't need to tell everyone. Date for a few months and if it seems to be getting serious, you can just say "I'm not a citizen"..When the opportunity to disclose it comes up. Then you'll get, "you're not a citizen??".. that's when you go, "Yeah, I wasn't born here"... and the convo can go from there.

It's not like you killed someone and have to go to the grave with this little "secret" of yours. Make your call.. And if being open when you feel you can trust someone will make you life feel more at ease.. I say go for it.

Good luck.

So you never had friends tell you to go disneyland/six flags/cedar point with them?

Anyone special in your life?

So you never had a brain without even the slightest of neural capacity to conjour up some commonsense? Ali is right on the ball, why the hell would you want to needlessly disclose your status when the situation doesn't require you to?

Don't you think that your closest friends (especially a boyfriend/girlfriend where there's genuine love) would want you to be open with them?
