Why not go to New Mexico instead of WA?

Anyway, I'm driving from FL to New Mexico in a couple of months to take a couple people to get their driver's licenses.

PM me.

Wouldn't a New Mexico Driver's License look a lot more sketch then a Washington one? I plan on going to Washington within the next few months, why not head there instead? No proof needed for residence either.

I just don't understand, getting pulled over with a New Mexico Driver's license just screams illegal alien to me. At least with the Washington one I can BS like I go to school there. Not to knock down your plan but I believe one from Washington would be better.

I don't want to take any chances in a state like Florida, 1070 might make it's way soon here as well. At least you'd also have your foot in the door WA so you could potentially leave the state quickly and have a good story.

I plan on going to WA and also signing up at a local community college, use the ID if I have to "prove" I'm really from out of state.

Bc I'm not the one getting a DL and it's not up to me.. A roadtrip to WA (or anywhere, really) sounds awesome, but my family members don't want to go that far.

I live in NY and need a drivers license. Could you guys tell me the easiest requirements to get for proof of residency in New Mexico or Washington?

Check craigslist under rideshare in your city and see if anyone is going West.
