I came with my mom and we overstayed our visas. My dad joined us about a year later. This was in December of 1999 and we're still here... I'm almost 22 now.

Both my parents brought me here legally (initially) in 1998, when i was 8.
I will never forget when they came to pick me up early from school... I remember looking back at my school as i was walking away, had no idea i would not be back in 12 years and counting...

I came here with my parents in 2005, when I was 14.
This was the BIGGEST mistake my parents made. I previously lived in Europe, and let me tell you something, life was like paradise in Europe. I had freedom, future, friends, education, girlfriends (lol) and etc. Life was sweet. However my parents thought moving here without papers is the best decision for my future. Wrong, so stupid! Now i am stuck here, i cant go back to Europe (dont have any money at all and my family wont support me moving back there) and i live here like hell.

From this experience, i have learned even your parents can f*ck up your life! Lets hope now, i have enough money to go back to Europe...

Well, I was brought here legally using a border crosser card when I was 10 back in 1997. I had a 100 average in school in mexico. I had no say what so ever, but I kinda have mixed feelings about this. I got a better education here in the US, but I have no papers. Then on top of that, those racist ignorant segregational and prejudice senators think that even illegal college students and high school graduates are less than animals and would rather point us out than help us out. I think that they should pass the dream act and stop illegal immigration in order to stop little kids like us to be brough here just to encounter the same problems for them in the future.

My mother and father went at it pretty bad I guess, and so my mother crossed over illegaly with my aunt, my cousin, and my younger brother because he wasn't on the passport.
I still don't understand exactly what the f*** happened, but I remember that later that year I was on a bus counting the yellow lines on the road, and next thing I remember is seeing my mother and brother accross the street. I got dropped off, and overstayed my visa. This was in 1990 when I was 4.

I was brought here for my parents in 96 from Brazil. My dad wanted to give me a better education and Atlanta was the spot because of the Olympics. We had my uncle support and help us. It's funny 14 years ago you could count the hispanic and brazilan people in the Marietta/Atlanta area now there are so many it's awesome lol.

my parents in june 1991. my dad was international press, so we lived in fairfax county, va for about 8 financially cushy years. we were supposed to go back after 4 years but my parents just love america so darn much. we are a very dysfunctional family. in 1997, after the market crash, he lost his job, renewed visa for final time in 1999, so in 2003 it expired. i found out from my guidance counselor that i am f'ed, and my dad never consulted a lawyer until 2003, and never told me what to do or what to expect, until the day he left. they went back in 2004, and my dad said, don't worry, when you get citizenship, you can bring us back.

my mom can't wait for me to return to korea so that she has someone who can buy her a house. my dad does not like the idea and is worried i will take over his house. sister said i am on my own when i come back and has sent me a crazy two-page email about how i will have no future in korea and if i'm looking to coast on my parents finances (i'm not an idiot; i know that wouldn't happen even if i wanted that), good luck as they have none, and insinuated i should get married first because life will be better if i am an american citizen (she is so astute). apparently in my family's eyes, i am as sharp as a cork made of a baby's bottom.

i'm in a foul mood today. if my parents told me that we were going on vacation and that was the guise under which i would have been brought here, i would have punched them in the face before they flew back. no questions asked.
