I have Bank of America and Chase, all I need was a picture ID and my tax ID #, you should be able to use either of the following: your Consulate card, passport, or your school ID. NOBODY at Bank of America should deny you a bank account. Trust me, I may be undocumented but, NOBODY will ever walk over me or treat me like shit! Stand your ground and demand for better service and ask for a manager. I have a strong attitude and I don't let anything slip by me, I will call the labor board or Osha if I have to on any given situation.

I opened mine with my Tax id and passport. If you have a passport from your consulate you can use that. Only thing they will look at is the picture and information like where you live etc.

Oh and I opened mine at wachovia not bank of america...

She's right, don't take no for an answer.

I opened my account at Bank of America. All I needed was my passport and Mexican Matricula card, and I also had my student ID just in case. Oh and my parents came with me since I was 16 at the time.
