Advocating for one state's DREAM Act doesn't detract from the federal DREAM Act that we're all going for, so, you don't be so greedy.

If you don't already know, the California DREAM Act will help thousands of DREAMers (and California has the largest number of them by far, I would say) by enabling them to receive limited financial aid at public universities and colleges. Since it's only a state measure, it won't actually provide for any sort of chance to legalize.

If it makes you feel any better, it will most likely be vetoed by the Governator just like it was all the other times it passed the Legislature and went to his desk. But that shouldn't stop us from trying in addition to the larger effort to pass the federal DREAM Act.

that is said to say for a california dream that it most likely get vetoed by governator because you know what else might get veoted our ab540 law which allow undocumented students in california to attend college ab540 is up for grabs this year and also the cadream act so i hope he doesn't vetoed neither because if you're a dream you know how important our education is.....saying things like that no matter how true they might be only damages our efforts to move and progress with the little resources we do have...you should be very happy for us...you texas has their version on the dream act texas give state aid to dreamers but since it's not on the governors desk you don't see anyone saying how greedy those dreamers are hypocrites!

Exactly. At least one person on here has common sense. I know we're in a tough situation, but being bitter and envious won't get us anywhere.
