I must admit I haven't been keeping up with the DREAM act's status in recent times, I found this forum while doing some catching up. I came here when I was 11, I am 21 now and will be graduating college in a year or 2, but like many of you, worried about being able to get a job or what not. Even my closest friends dont know about my situation, and as the years pass by I just feel myself distancing myself from people I know, even though I can trust them, I just can't get myself to tell them. I am trying to change that but its hard for me, but its nice for a change to find a place like this where I don't have to be insecure about what people think of me.

I feel the exact same way. I actually only recently heard of the Dream Act after talking with my lawyer. I've been in school and working illegally too, and I know exactly where you're coming from. We all grew up wanting a future and thinking that we can do what ever we put our minds to, only we now find that what we were told all along didn't apply to us, so I know how disappointing it can be, so just hang in there. Hopefully, if we all pull together, maybe we can get some momentum and get this thing rolling.
