Senaton Reid has confirmend #DREAMAct will be part of next week defense vote. - Page 4

Hello fellow DREAMERS, I want to share some words with all of those, including myself, who have been loosing hope for the DREAM ACT to pass..

This is when we need to have FAITH AND BELIEVE THE MOST!!!

DREAM failed as a stand-alone in 2007; it wasn't attached to defense authorization in October '07 (though it's always been attached to CIR)

so basically theyre voting for the Defense bill instead of the dream act directly??

yay!!! This is the boost I needed right when I was losing hope. I really hope it passes!!! If it doesn't we'll be right back at square 1.

If the Dream Act would have been brought to the floor as a stand-alone, Senators would have been able to attach border security amendments.

What else is on the defense bill? What IF they decide to pass portions of the bill and not DA. I'm optimistic though. So.. hopefully it passes

But hsvent they already signed that $600 billion border bill already? I kind of felt like they did that so they could move onto the DREAM act

Senator Reid will be moving the DREAM Act to a vote via as an amendment to the Defense Authorization Bill.

What does this mean?

It means that the DREAM Act still needs 60 votes to pass. We still need 60 senators to say yes when it comes time for the bill to be attached to the defense bill.

What can you do to help?

We need calls right now. We need to flood offices with calls in support of the DREAM Act. Currently we are being beat by anti-immigrants 10 calls to 1. That means for every 1 call you make in support 10 people are calling against the DREAM Act.

Yeah.. in a way.. Republicans kept saying that they first want a secure border then they can tackle the immigration issue. But it can be a little bit challenging some Republicans just want Obama to fail. so they are saying no to pretty much anything.. but it's still possible even without them. we just have to see how elections turn out and what also goes down next week !

I've always asked myself if they actually listen to so many messages lol..
