Plus also they've been pretty lenient in regards to deporting students and possible DREAM act beneficiaries . . . .

Come on people don't be sad, fight for your DREAM, our DREAM. Many members of DAP, including myself have been suffering like you guys are right now, for many years, around nine now. I know that this wont make the suffering and desperation go away, but hang in there. It is tough, I am 29 years old, I am a full grown man, and have cried over my situation several times in these nine years, the last time it happened was in the beginning of this year. So it is ok to feel sad at times, but don't ever forget to pick yourselves up and continue moving forward with or without DREAM.

I took a nap and dreamed about having a big pet spider weirdd...lol but yea sometimes i think bout how I would be living a totally different life than this. Even though all we hear are the negative things ( senators changing minds, Obama's plan to veto) there are still some positive things about it that are often ignored cuz we focus too much on the negative side of things. Lets just pray, believe, and imagine dont let some people break your spirit thats all we've got

Im goooooood

Yeah, we should focus on the positives as well, yeah McCain is threatening to not vote for it, and Obama might veto it, but we also have the Hispanic caucus, Reid, Universities, and Religious groups lobbying for it

We don't hear much about this, but the pentagon is also lobbying for it, which is why it's being added tot he defense bill

Keep believing, BUT god forbid it doesn't pass, don't let it break your spirit, we're all in this together, you're not alone

I tend to have more respect for and pay more attention to users on this forum who have been members since 2007 (or earlier). You guys have been needing this for a little longer than some of us younger ones and I am glad you are still here proving your resilience and endurance. Great job.

DA is related to the Defense bill because of the 2 years of serving in the military. It only helps everyone and the economy.

I thought of a political ploy that they may be playing that may benefit us.. its just a theory tho..

Check it... alot of senators are against amending DREAM Act into the Defense bill. Sure ok that's probably understandable right?

If Reid can make a deal with them to pull Dream Act out but in return get a yes vote for a stand alone (maybe the next week), it would be a brilliant move. He can blame everyone else (mostly Republicans for the removal of Dream Act) and win votes from Latino population. And then put it up for a vote the next week and get more senators on board + moderate republicans.

^Maybe so. Politics sometimes seem like a mental jigsaw puzzle.
