Selling on ebay - Page 2

Yeah. Been verified for about 5 years. I searched online if it was common, and it seems they pick you randomly and ask for it for no apparent reasons! There was no suspicious activity on my part so I'm sure they just wanted to collect personal info. from their users. When I called and questioned why they needed it, they said its for security purposes to check that address and name match that of account. except they asked me for bills with my name and address, ssn, and government issued id. Maybe I was just unlucky, but just wanted to let people know they do these things. I guess its ok if you have id and ssn, but a lot of people on here don't have those things so just be on the safe side and don't leave money in Paypal.

weird, never had that problem before. I've kept around 4k at a time on there, but usually would w/draw the 400$/day limit or transfer to bank account.

You weren't having any seller disputes or something like that?

Ya never happened to me before but happened to me twice in the last 2-3 years. I never had a dispute filed against me. Don't even sell all that much..I only sold about 20 things. They do this randomly and I think I was just unlucky to get picked twice.
