peoples argument that this bill should not pass, is that the country would be too crowded, if they actually take a look at numbers and facts instead of letting fear from the media and politicians consume them, then maybe we wouldn't have this problem

they say if this bill passes there will be approx 2 million people legalized. Wow that sounds like a lot! so people panic "Its going to be too crowded!!"

Lets take a look at the numbers then. There are about 310 million people in America and lets suppose the dream act passed and 3 million joined, that would only increase it by 0.64% now it doesn't sound as bad. At the most people would see a couple of new people in their town (depending on the town/city) at that increase, and since these people are already here then there wouldn't really be an actual increase of the people in their towns.

So in reality the things to be scared of is the scare tactics the media and politicians use to fulfill their agendas. I wonder if they have another word for that....oh yeah terrorism

that is one counter argument people for this bill should use against all [Mod Edit]

It wouldn't increase because of the 310 million, they are counting as well the undocumented. I think.

We are already here so whats crowded. You can't deport 2 million people

Anyways, every time I hear about dream they estimate that it will only cover about 1 million people.

Read like 5 times but I was still unable to comprehend what you are trying to say.

Yeah, me too, I believe it will benefit a lot more people than that, I have also read some news articles that are saying only 65,000 people would be able to adjust with DREAM, 65,000 is the number used as an estimate as to how many undocumented students graduate every year from high school.

Yeah, these people are nuts. I was reading through the questionnaire at this xenophobic site.

Question #3 made me furious.

It's so true people will fight tooth and nail to keep things "comfortable and familiar". Change is dangerous!! ... yeah right...
