dream_hope,

1. The consul honorary contacted other Canadian consuls here in the US to explore the possibilities of applying from here. All of them said that I needed to have my application processed via the Canadian Embassy in my country of origin due to my particular case.

2. Then, the consul general mailed 2 letters to the Canadians in my home country, emailed, and called.

UGH! So lucky. I mean, I know it's not just luck but a lot of hard work, but being from Mexico has got be helpful. I wish Peruvian immigration services weren't such jerks. They won't even let me renew my passport, and that's just an easy everyday thing for god's sake. Blurg!

congrats, will follow through w/your plan if shit hits the fan w/my situation.

Have you had to fill out background check paperwork? Someone told me you basicallly have to state the countries you've lived in during the last 10 years along w/ss #.

I'm guessing you had an account opened in Mexico w/a certain amount of cash to prove income for study?

If you're traveling through USA as a Mexican, do you need an i-94? If traveling as American, just state id? or ss too?
