I have boyfriend that I've been with for about 3 years, been friends with him for longer, and I love him. He loves me (yayy!) and he knows about my situation. He's a U.S. citizen.

We have decided to get married, and he has left me to plan everything (guy that doesn't wanna be involved in marriage planning, what a shock LOL), but when I tried looking up the marriage license requirements by each state, I keep seeing as ID requirements a driver's licence or a SSN, which obviously I lack. I have my birth certificate from my country, and he has all the necessary papers (birth certificate, SSN, driver's license). Which states will give us a marriage license? I need to know so I can do this as soon as possible, and so me and him can begin a happy life together Thanks guys!

Call the Clerk of Court of whatever county you are in. I have called mine (I have an exp. DL) and they said they don't care. Also some take passports as well.

So expired passports are ok? Mine is really old, the newest picture of the new passport was when I was nine, and the original that I came here with was with a picture of me when I was 5

Well my passport was new so I'm not sure if an expired one would work, so you should call the court

I was 5 DAYS old in my very first passport picture lol.

Grats!!

First you would want to visit the embassy of your origin and get a new passport. You're going to need it sooner or later in your naturalization process

Second don't forget the white little card you got when you first landed in the US, which is kind of like a Visa. I believe adjustment via marriage is only viable to visa-overstayers and not EWI, otherwise it'd get a lot more complicated.

Third, find a good lawyer to file the necessary papers for you. He's gonna know what you need

once again, grats!

Have thought about it but I just can't go with something that completely breaks the law. Also if you get caught you are totally screwed. It's fraud.
