Alright so here is the situation; I want to get a DL from Washington State. I will be taking my Birth Certificate, Mexican Matricula, School Transcripts, School Yearbook, and a Car Title.

My questions
  • Does the car you take your road test on have to be insured under YOUR name?
  • Will they question why my School Transcripts and Yearbook are not from a School in that state? ( I turn 18 in 20 days and I'll graduate this year.)
  • If you have done this, did you fly or drive?
  • What is the safest path there?

Any help is appreciated.

Oh yea and the fact that the car you take the road test on does not have TAGs from Washington State. I really just need to talk to someone that has done this already.

Just to let you know, you have to be 18 to get a license if you're going by yourself. I mean, you can get it under 18 but you're going to a need a parent to come with you to sign papers and stuff because you are under age. If I were you, I would wait until i turn 18.

Lol, I know that's why I said that I'm turning 18 in 20 days

Have you obtained a DL from Washington?

Does the car you take your road test on have to be insured under YOUR name?

No.

Will they question why my School Transcripts and Yearbook are not from a School in that state? ( I turn 18 in 20 days and I'll graduate this year.)

No.

If you have done this, did you fly or drive?

I flew to Seattle from NY
