Have u experienced being pulled over without a license or with an international license ? please state what happened and what penalty u had to pay I just wanted to weigh the options of driving with an international license or no license at all.

Thanks

My score: 2 tickets and I've been pulled 3 times.

The first time I was following a friend and we ended up having to go through a sobriety check point. Funny thing is that we were going to my place to drop off my car so I wouldn't have to drive lol. The cop asked to see my license, I told him that I didn't have it with me. He told me to pull over to a parking lot, and then he asked me if I didn't have with me or didn't have one at all. I told him I didn't have one, he asked me for an ID and I gave him my bank card and college ID. He checked everything with over the radio and only took my car away for one day. When he asked me why I didn't have a lic I said that one of my eyes is bad and I didn't pass the vision test. He told me to get lasik and then get a lic.... I got a ticket but I don't remember how much it was....

The second time I got pulled over cause I forgot to turn my lights on. I had the Utah permit then, expired btw, and a lic friend who is over 21, I told the cop that I had recently moved back to cali from utah where I used to go to school, and that I, was driving cause my truck is stick and my friend doesn't know how to drive stick... He asked where we were coming from and if we had drank any alcohol... He let me go but told me to get a lic so I wouldn't need my gf to drive lol

The last time I got pulled over for speeding... I was going 73 mph... In my defense I thought it was 65, not 55...I showed gave the chp my permit, registration, and insurance, (first time they asked for all three) she checked it and told me that my permit was expired and that they didn't had me in the system anymore... she was cool cause she didn't take my truck away and I just got a fat ticket ($725)...

In my experience its best to be respectful, apologize, say I understand, and if you have to lie base it on the truth that way it can be called and misunderstanding....

.... and you wrote all that on your phone phoenix?...

either way, interesting stuff, never considered an eye scenario as an excuse as to why there is the lack of license, yet it sounds reasonable.

Yup all with my phone, that's the reason why there are random comas, periods, and words-that-shouldn't-be-there in my post... Androids are pretty cool, I'm.just way to lazy to correct all of my posts.

I have astigmatism in my right eye, so if I close the other one everything becomes blurry, even the big E in the vision tests poster gets fuzzy, but with my other eye I can read the fine print of said poster... so that's one if my excuses... like I said, you can't go wrong with lies that have some truth in hem....

My timeline:

Colorado Summer 2003, ~4a.m., tail lights were out. I said, "I was just taking my girl to McDonalds cause she opens today." Cop said he didn't want to call my parents, let me go with a warning.

Colorado 2005, 35 on a school zone, I got a $200-$300 ticket. Officer let me go. I had a Mexico license with a last name typo my mom had gotten done for me, and so I didn't pay the ticket. =/

Colorado 2006, speeding and no license, I got $40 ticket for no license + $100-$200 for speeding, 76 on a 65. Officer let me go. I only paid speeding ticket, the other ticket was somehow considered double jeopardy, because long story short, it put a warrant on me which I got caught and arrested, bailed out, and had my case dismissed.

Colorado 2006, wrong turn into govt building + cracked windshield. Let go with a warning.

Colorado 2006, speeding and no license, I got $100-$200 for speeding, 84 on a 75. Officer let me go.

California 2007-2008, 3 parking violation tickets. ~$40-$50 each

California 2008, at Griffith Park hanging out by a parking lot doing absolutely nothing, park ranger asks for I.D. because my brothers and I look suspicious. Car impounded for 30 f*ckn' days, $1300-$1400 impound fees, + a summer of community service to pay the no license ticket. To top it off... he was Hispanic.

I told the cop I forgot my wallet. He let me go with just a warning.

You bet your ass I was praying the whole time.
