After hearing your account on what you heard anderson say, I feel like your title is a misleading.

So which is it?
1)Pelosi wants the bill attached
or
]2)Pelosi will attach

I heard about this today as well.

And yeah, DA is coupled with Haitian adoption.

The purpose of this is that if republicans against it, it looks like republicans vote against the Haitian bill.

This is like a buy one get one free deal. In order to get something you really want to, you have to get something that you don't need

I dont think it will help at all... the whole Republican arguement was that things were being attached to each other just so that the Democrats could make them easy to pass, so thats supposedly the reason why they voted no. But we'll see.... This being our last chance to pass the DA, I personally think its bullshit for them to attach it with anything. They need to have a fair, straight-up argument about it and not give Republicans the chance to have a bs reason not to pass it.

I don't think it will help at all either. All the republicans have to say is (after voting no on it) something along the lines of "we want immigration reform after strict border security, and at the same time we support Haiti children. But Democrats are just trying to play politics by attaching both together" blah blah blaaaah

Sounds like what Mc Connell would say

Just like you guys, I really dont think this is a good idea, republicans will say they are playing politics blah blah blah and will filibuster or vote it down, but I dont know how credible the report is. Anderson Cooper is pretty good at reporting things that go under the radar, but he had no sources really. He did say they called the Speaker's office to clarify, and they were given a statement saying that the haitian bill was postponed due to time constrains, therefore nothing to do with some political tactic involving the dream act. So I hope that in fact that is what happens, because I'm having a hard time seeing the republicans vote yes on the DA just because the widely bipartisan haitian bill is attached.

If this is true, then im hoping that Reid and Pelosi know something we don't. Maybe there were private talks between them and some senators/reps that are on the fence when it comes to the DA. Maybe they'll feel more comfortable voting for it with it being attached to the adoption bill. At the same time, im not naive. I know how these repubs are...
Who knows? I'm personally getting tired of this nonsense. I just want to wake up and see in big bold letters "Breaking news - Reid has 60 votes" in the news forum.
